Common Queries About Forging
Review answers about our operational capacity, materials selection, lead times, and global shipping policies below.
For custom forged parts, our minimum run typically starts at 100 pieces per batch. However, for large diameter forged rings (over 500mm outer diameter), we can support custom batches of 25 to 50 pieces depending on raw material billet availability and engineering complexity.
We process a wide range of materials to suit client wear specifications:
- Bearing Steel: SAE 52100, 100Cr6, EN31
- Carbon Steel: EN8, EN9, C45
- Alloy Steel: 20MnCr5, EN19, EN24, 16MnCr5
- Stainless Steel: Grade 304, 316, 410
Our heavy-duty radial-axial ring rolling machines support outer diameters starting from 100mm up to a maximum of 1000mm. We can roll heights/widths from 20mm to 250mm, with raw weights ranging from 0.5kg up to 120kg.
Yes. Every single dispatch batch is accompanied by full metallurgical test documentations including:
- Chemical Composition Analysis (via Spectrometer)
- Non-Destructive Testing (UT - Ultrasonic Flaw Detection reports)
- Microstructure and Grain Flow analysis
- Brinell/Rockwell Hardness confirmation report
- Dimensional Caliper verification logs
Standard lead time for new product development is:
- Tooling & Die design: 10 to 15 days
- First-off sample approval: 5 to 7 days
- Batch production: 15 to 20 days depending on volume and material schedules
Yes. Unlike basic black-forging plants, Shree Ram Forge maintains a complete finishing division with horizontal/vertical CNC lathes, drilling spindles, and boring machines. We can supply rings and bushes either in raw forged condition, proof-machined, or fully finished to your final blueprint designs.
Yes. We regularly export precision forged rings, bearing sleeves, and flanges to markets in Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. We pack our components in sea-worthy heavy wooden boxes treated with anti-rust oil coatings and ship via major nearby sea ports such as Mundra and Kandla.
Yes. Shree Ram Forge operates under a verified ISO 9001:2015 quality control management system. Our plant processes are audited periodically to ensure constant metallurgical consistency and workplace safety standards.
